Cinque Terra, Italy

We had no idea what to expect from the town of Lerici.   When we arrived at our hotel (Hotel Florida) we were pleasantly surprised.  The first picture is the view out of our hotel, the next two are of the town itself.

The following morning we drove over to Riomaggiore, the first of the 5 towns which make up the Cinque Terre.  From there we hiked along "lovers lane" to Manarola and then over the hills to Corniglia. 

We started our second day in Corniglia and followed the trail along the cliffs to Vernazza.   We then took the train back to Corniglia and then drove to Riomaggiore to have our final dinner.

The next day the rain came pouring down again just as we were heading home.
